River paced, alone, outside of the camp. It had been a very long time now, since he had seen Atra. He now regretted his choice to stay behind with the rest of the pack. Even though he had sent messenger after messenger, they had returned unable to find her or had been silenced on their way. She had sent nothing, and he was now very worried. He hoped she would return soon. Meanwhile a few of the pack members grew restless and his temper was flaring.
"River?" Bird appeared out of nowhere.
"Yes, my dear mother. It is I." He replied, staring up at the overcast sky.
"You are restless, worried." She observed.
He nodded. "I don't know what has happened; it drives me practically out of my mind."
"I feel that she will return soon. But now, my son, you must guide the pack, and you must not let your anger over rule your sense." She touched his nose briefly with hers and the two walked together back to the pack.
(Not sure if that's all correct...I skimmed and put this together, just correct me if I'm wrong
