Mari loped after him, grinning. "Oh Aki," She laid her head under his head. "I haven't seen him since he was a pup." Her eyes filled with tears.
Onyx sat down. Sadness overwhelmed him, but he was glad he now was part of a pack. He sat in a small patch of sunshine, and washed his sooty coat.

Aki growled happily for his mate's happiness, but eyed Lupus cautiously.

Lupus quickened his pace to sprint
