Nebrivo wanted to do something nice for Quartz. He was pondering what to do when, as if by magic, he noticed a fat bobwhite quail sitting right in front of him. "Well, hello there." he said, licking his lips. Perfect for Quartz and I! He pounced on the fat quail. It squawked, flapped, and then lay still.

Nebrivo plucked a white daisy from the ground, picked up the still-warm quail, and loped off to find Quartz. He hoped she would accept his proposal, and like what he brought her. He was so tired of being "just friends". He felt like his love for her was more than a "just friends" love.
 
Not noticing Sam, G.B. lunged forward with lightning quickness and snapped his jaws around its neck, killing it.
