Nike trotted through the forest, his paws barely making a sound on the soft grass, just beginning to bud through the dirt. He sniffed deeply, "Senkah...." He murmured. "There is a herd of deer in that direction." He gestured to the right with his muzzle.

Mari placed the piece of meat infront of Aki, and nosed him gently. "Aki, please eat, if you have the strength." She rose to her feet, wiped away tears, "I'll be back, I'll get you some water." She hurried out of the den, scooping up a bowl shaped leaf, and pelted to the river.
She returned with the leaf full of water. "Aki?" She whined, and entered the den.

(Can we time-skip so she can have her pups?)

Senkah swiveled her ears around, picking up the sounds of the deer. She lightly galloped to the deer, and remained downwind as she approached them, staying silent as a mouse.

Nike followed, his body low to the ground.
