Kara lay in the center of the den site, watching Safina hunt the leaves that rustled with the breeze.
"Watch me mommy." She called.
"I'm watching, Honey." She smiled, though she wasn't, she was scanning the area for Kapu

West tried to smile, but failed. A pain in his chest made him want to cry. He looked at Rain "what are their names?" He voice shaky.

Rain smiled. "Scarlet, Chayton, and Elan."

Onyx loped off with him, and turned his head to look back at Silver.  He quickened pace, and ran behind Lupus. 

Lupus bounded through the trees, he quickly closed in on the border, when he was only a half mile away, he stopped and turned to Onyx. "I need you to prepare for what you are about to see." He said, his voice sad, his brow furrowed.

Mari scented the air.  Nothing abnormal.  She bristled her hackles, and looked around. 

Aki nudged Mari, when he smelled Lupus's scent again. "Be quiet, until we see them." Aki said sternly and cautiously

Lupus bounded through the trees, he quickly closed in on the border, when he was only a half mile away, he stopped and turned to Onyx. "I need you to prepare for what you are about to see." He said, his voice sad, his brow furrowed.

Onyx's eyes widened. He bristled his fur, and tucked his tail. He tried to look over Lupus' shoulder.

Aki nudged Mari, when he smelled Lupus's scent again. "Be quiet, until we see them." Aki said sternly and cautiously

Mari nodded, her brow furrowed, but her tail wagged fiercely.

Onyx loped off with him, and turned his head to look back at Silver. He quickened pace, and ran behind Lupus.

Silver stared into Onyx's eyes. She didnt want him to go

Onyx's eyes widened.  He bristled his fur, and tucked his tail.  He tried to look over Lupus' shoulder. 

Mari nodded, her brow furrowed, but her tail wagged fiercely. 

Lupus nodded and gulped "okay." He whispered and continued trotting for the border. They came around the boughs of a large fir tree, and there stood two wolves.

Aki bristled surprised that the "pup" was actually a full grown wolf. He moved blocking Mari. "Wait." He growled quietly.

Rain smiled.  "Scarlet, Chayton, and Elan." 

West smiled halfheartedly. He couldn't contain his sorrow anymore and walked out of the den, to the edge of camp.

Onyx froze. He looked at Aki. Do they want to fight him?! He thought, and cowered.

Mari pressed against Aki, but didn't make a sound. She shivered with excitement.

West smiled halfheartedly. He couldn't contain his sorrow anymore and walked out of the den, to the edge of camp.

Sierra looked after him, and cocked her head at her mother. Rain frowned. "I think he's homesick." She whispered. "Should I go talk to him?" Sierra asked. Rain smiled. "If you think he wants someone to talk to." Sierra didn't answer. She turned and walked slowly to West. "West? Whats wrong?" She asked quietly.
