"Its Aki." He said grimly "I don't think he is gonna live." His voice grew heavy, a lump forming in his throat.
Aki breathed heavy, he could smell Mari, but could also feel his grip on life fading. He inhaled her scent, clinging to it, clinging to life.

Sierra looked at West in shock. "What?!?!" Was all she could say.

Mari sobbed bitterly. "Aki, I love you, don't ever forget that. I-I don think I could go on without you." She nuzzled him, breathing in his scent. "Please don't leave me. Our pups-" Mari cold say no more, she burst into a fit of tears.
