Mari flopped down on her side, panting heavily.

Nike lifted his head, "Senkah?" He wondered. Elan and Thunder also came out from their dens. They hurried out of the camp. Nike bolted through the forest, with Elan and Thunder on his heels. "Senkah!" Nike barked as the group came into view.
 
"Get her to our den," Senkah barked, trying to nose Mari's body onto her back.
 
"Hold on, Mari..." Senkah murmured after she got Mari onto her back, "I'm getting you to my den." She walked smoothly as to not make the pain any worse for her.

Thunder, Nike and Elan hurried behind her. "Us there anything we can do?" Nike asked Senkah, who seemed to have everything under control.
 
"Just stay with me for now," Senkah said as she went into her den, gently sliding Mari off over her neck. "Nikki, go get me some rabbit ear moss."

Nikki nodded and charged back into the forest.

Sierra hurried behind him. "Mari?" She whimpered when she smelled Mari's scent mixed with fear.

Mari writhed in pain, her eyes closed tightly.
