"Yes, we are." Mari said. Rain frowned. "We came to ask you if you would be willing to nurse 3 pups who's mother died." "Who's pups are they?" Mari asked, cocking her head. Rain looked at North, wating for him to speak.

Rain nodded. "I know you probably need to think about it, so if you would like we can come later. But the pups need to be fed." Mari shook her head. "Stay here. I'll be right back." She turned, and loped to Aki.

Aki turned and walked away from the pups. He padded over to Mari. "What's going on?"
 
Senkah kicked a rock at Nike's face as she turned and padded towards the sounds of yewling pups. She entered Lightning's den.

"Rain wants me to nurse North and a wolf named Sylver's pups. I'm okay with it, but I wanted to check with you first." Mari said quietly, as if still trying to work it out in her mind.
