(All I know what happened is a small pack rescued pups from the fire. And new dogs that were pregnant joined and had pups and too care of the ones that were found. I'm not sure about the fire.)

Atra grimaced, she hadn't expected the blow until it was too late to dodge completely. Anger swelled up inside her with nowhere to go. She snapped at Aki again, putting a lot of power into it but not looking at where she was going very well...

Aki yowled as Atra's teeth sank into his back, pain surged through his body, as he fell to the ground. Nighta sneered, a growl escaping between his teeth, he charged forward and bit down, his teeth sinking into Aki's back leg.
Aki yowled, kicking out, Nighta jumped back.
Aki fought to break free of Atra's grip.
