Lightning swiveled her ears as she heard Cyra howl. "Elan, we need to get back to the den," she said urgently.

At her howl the other pups awoke and began to squirm. The tried to mimic Cyra's howl and a smile lit up her face " Yes little ones, call your mother."

"I don't need to explain to you!" Sunfire snarled, lunging for Twilight with his teeth bared.

Twilight didn't move. She sat like a statue, and only winced as Sunfire's teeth closed over her scruff.
