Nighta spotted Atra along the border. "what's going on?" he asked, staring into pinepack land

"They haven't answered any of my howls," she said, "I can't smell the alphas and the scent of the entire pack is fainter."

Mari raced after Aki, forgetting about Faolen and his siblings. The small pup nudged them all together, and curled up to sleep.

"Aki? Where could she be?!?!" Mari cried.

"want to investigate?" He sneered. "Maybe will get some new land."

Mari raced after Aki, forgetting about Faolen and his siblings.  The small pup nudged them all together, and curled up to sleep. 

"Aki? Where could she be?!?!" Mari cried. 

"I don't know." he sniffed the ground. "We'll find her!" He promised. "her scent......" he paused, he had lost the trail. "Help me find her scent."

Mari jerked her nose to the ground. "AKI!" She screamed, her nose turning white. "H-her, scent is mixed with a male wolf's!!!" She stumbled back, looking around wildly.

Yukon finished his rabbit and jogged along the border of a new pack, he sniffed a scent mark. 'Aki' he snarled. 'So you left home.' He gagged at the scent of his brother, the turned and lopped along the border.

Atra smiled, "Exactly what I was thinking."

Nighta growled and cautiously jogged over the border, scanning the forest.
