Rebel raced to the border, hiding behind a bush he called loudly, trying to sound tough. "Who's there?"
west cocked his head, he didn't recognize the voice at all. "My name is west... I am the son of Koga and Akira.
Rebel smiled. "West?" He whispered, stepping into view. "Its me... Rebel!" He barked, tail wagging.
"Rebel!?" West gawked, he couldn't believe how much his little brother had grown. "Hi." He smiled. "Where is dad? And Sky and Wren?" He asked, his voice trying to mask his exciment of seeing his family.
Rebel gulped, his ears pinned back, his tail drooped. "I uh.....well.......I guess you didn't know." His voice cracked with a sob.
West's eyes grew wide with fear, his heart pounded in his throat. "Wh....what?" he hesitated to ask.
"Uh..... well, we were out hunting, and dad, well dad selected a big elk, a bull, he thought it was old and weak....." he paused, sobbing. "It wasn't! It trampled Wren, and dad tried to save her, it killed him with its antlers." His voice shook, as he tried to stop crying. "And then Sky and I were all lone, and then, she just left one day." His voice broke, his body raked with sobs. "AND NOW I'M ALONE!! NO ONE CARES ABOUT ME!!!!!" He wailed. The poor pup had been keeping his pain in and now with his brother standing there, he couldn't bare it alone any more.
West stood, still as stone. The shock of the news didn't seem to register with him, a blank look clouded his face as he turned to look at Sierra.
