"Nyx does most of the leading now," Storm said quietly. "I don't think we're really cut out for it anymore, but whose going to take our places? We have a beta, of course, but the pack's...dying."
Storm was starting to feel uncomfortable telling this to a stranger, but he'd long since lost hope in defending the pack.

He tried to smile, but a scar on his cheek pulled at his lips, making it painful. "I'm Aki, and that is my sstone Gray."
