Atra growled as she smelled the strongest scents of the border. She looked around, but she didn't see any wolves besides Darkpack.

Elan's hackles prickled as the scent of Darjpack reached his nose. He stalked toward the border, slinking between bushes and trees. He cold just feel that something was going to happen.

"No one's here," Atra growled, turning her head away from where Elan was to stare at the rest of Darkpack. "I say we head for wherever their denning site is. What do you think, Nighta?"

Elan burst from the bushes. "What's going on here?!" he bellowed, his yellow eyes glaring murderously at the Darkpack wolves.

Atra bit back her yelp and backed away a few paces. She quickly did her best to regain her leading tone. "That shouldn't concern you when you're outnumbered by us," she said snappishly.

"Shut your yappy jaw." Elan spat, advancing with his head low. "What're your sniveling plans this time, Atra?" he asked, spitting her name with disgust.

"Sorry Darkpack," Lightning said smugly, "I don't think you'll get to take us over."

Fire and Breeze pelted towards the uproar.

Talc followed the rest of the Darkpack wolves nervously, hoping the Thunderpack wolf wouldn't realize how scared she was of a huge fight.

Atra stood where she was. Her eyes narrowed. "Yeah, puppy, I don't think you have many options now."
