Mari's sides shuddered. "They'll come home. I know it." she looked into her mate's teary eyes with her own, setting her jaw in determination. 

Aki nodded. The nudged her, swinging his head in the direction of the new wolf. "She wants to join us." He said

Sierra padded after him, then stopped. Her own blue eyes saw the trespasser, and she scurried silently back to where she had been. She knew West had this, but if it got rough, she would be there. 

West crouched, his eyes burning into the back of a large black wolf. He let out a low growl, ready to spring on the tresspasser.
Beo eyes a fat rabbit nibbling on a blade of grass. He didn't care that he was tresspassing, he only cared about getting food for him and willow.
West laid in the shadows, waiting for his chance to spring

West snarled, charing at the intruder.
Beo spun, startled by the sudden attack, he growled, lowering himself. but wasn't quick enough, West grabbed his scruff, biting down deep, and twisting.
Willow watched in horror as the male wolf ripped into her mate, she let out a growl and charged at West's back.

Wind chuckled, "of course." He nudged back a bit to give her some more room.
"Oh, uh, I guess.... If you want me to." Chayton said sheepishly, sitting down.

"Ah good. My paws are killing me!" Scarlet complained, flopping on her side. "I swear, these pups should have been born already." she joked, rolling her eyes.

Nikki smiled, and began picking the fur off the bunny.

"Be patient," he said jokingly, pawing at her ear playfully. "They'll be here soon." He licked her muzzle.
Chayton did the same, smiling. He enjoyed being around Nikki.

"Yeah, I sure hope so." she sighed, closing her eyes. She let the sun warm her red pelt.

"How's prey going?" Nikki asked.

Wind smiled, resting his head on his paws.
"Quite well actually." Chayton said, nodding. He smiled, nudging a ready piece of meat towards her.
(Shoot. I can't remember if they are mates yet.....)

Scarlet licked his cheek, sighing sleepily.

Nikki gingerly licked it up. She swallowed carefully, thanking Chayton with her eyes.

(I think Nikki asked, but I think Chayton was too nervous to say yes or no.)

Wind's tail wagged as he drifted off.
Chayton smiled, nodding slightly. He began working on another piece, his eyes bright with happiness.
(Oh ok. I think I remember that now.)

Nikki almost bit her lip. All of her siblings had mates, and she wanted Chayton to be hers so badly. What had they said? Suppressing a sigh, she looked off into the distance at the mountains, like she always did when she was deep in thought.

Scarlet yawned, lifting her head. The sun had moved and was no longer warming her pelt. She looked over at the dens, then put her head back down.

Scarlet snorted, trying not to laugh. "Lazy booty." she chuckled, smiling. She got to her paws, grit her teeth with the pain of her weight on them, then headed to the forest to get a drink of water.
