Luna walked through the forest, Lupus trailing behind her like always. She spotted her mother up ahead. "Hi." She said, jogging up beside her.

"We're going to attack Thunderpack," Atra said. She glanced from Luna to Lupus. "You two are ready for a battle, right?"

"Yes." Luna growled, excited for a fight, but Lupus hesitated, he stared at Luna with concern. Then quickly turned to Atra. "Let's ruin them!"

Atra's gaze studied them for a moment. Then she spun around almost cheerfully and howled out a promise for victory. Lupus and Nighta are right. she told herself. We'll destroy them!

Chayton melted, then bolted away into the forest. WHY IS THIS SO HARD?! He snarled to himself.

"Chayton!" Nikki called after him, then let her ears and tail fall, frowning sadly. She headed back into the dens.
Chayton chased his tail, biting into it as if trying to clear his mind. He got up, panting, and headed back to the dens.

Nikki sat outside her den, having the "lost in her thoughts" look in her eyes again. Her mind drifted. How on Earth did Lightning, Sitka, Scarlet... all of them, get their mate? Did Scarlet approach Wind, or did Wind approach her..? GAH, this is so hard! She frowned to herself.
Chayton stumbled along, his head hung low. He passed Nikki, only giving a small wave of his tail to acknowledge she was even there. Then he padded inside his own den.

Nikki's ears drooped as she crawled back into her den.

"Hey, ma!" Izou greeted Lightning, dragging the foot of a rabbit. Leafe was carrying a songbird in her jaws. Lightning grinned proudly at her pups, realizing with a jolt how big they'd gotten. They're almost, if not already full grown, she realized silently.
