Quote: Chayton watched his mate with warm, loving eyes. He flopped onto his side, rolling around and scratching his back.

Mist frowned in curiosity. "No... why do you think I am?" she asked, getting up and wincing.

Meadowlark lunged at Timber, pinning the stunned pup to the ground and snarling in his face. "Gotcha Timber." she giggled, putting her front paws on his floppy ears. Timber tried to lift his head, only to be stopped by his ears planted to the ground by Meadowlark. "Lemme go!" he grumbled, flailing his paws. Meadowlark squeaked with laughter, stepping away. Timber growled, smashing into her and sent her tumbling. "Ow!" she squeaked, but got up again. Timber smiled, lowering his head again.

After eating, Nikki dozed off.

"N-nothing."

Izou headbutted Fenix away, and looked at Meadowlark expectantly.
Chayton lay next to her, and slowly went into a light sleep.

Mist furrowed her brows. She tucked her tail, "Fire.... what's wrong?" she asked softly.

Meadowlark lunged at Timber, who puffed out his chest and rammed into her. She tumbled backwards, but instantly was back on her feet.

Sahara moved to go after him, but her father stepped in the way. "Let him go. He doesn't want to stay here." he said firmly, and Sahara backed off. "Bye Rebel..." she barked, her ears dropping slightly. Her yellow eyes had a sad look to them, and the tip of her tail wagged ever so slightly. She was hopeful to see him again.

Rebel growled pushing himself through the pain. He raced home. Coming upon the river that he and Nyx had nearly drowned in. He sighed and threw his head back a long sad howl rose into the sky.

Quote: (Timeskip?)

Sahara laid down in her bed, placing her head on her paws. It hurt her to hear his mournful howl, so she covered her ears with her paws. The moon was becoming brighter as the sun set, and suddenly she was struck with an idea. If only Rebel would do the same..... She closed her eyes, pleading that he would.

(sure :))

Rebel's wound was almost healed, his shoulder was still scabbed up alittlea little but it was looking good. He stretched walking from his cave. He was still very sad, upon his return home he had found that Storm had passed, and it had broken his heart. He set off into the forest, with no real purpose.

Quote: Sahara forced a smile, saying goodbye to her father. She told him she was going hunting, but really she was going to see if Rebel was out there. Every night she went out, scenting the air for him. Despite 'going hunting', she came home with nothing, and as a result she and her father were very thin. Her ribs showed through her fur like spikes, and around her eyes the skin was sunken and hollow. She took her post on a high boulder, and scanned the territory. From that point she could see into Rebel's pack's land and the land around it. She sighed, but scarcely blinked for fear of missing something.

Rebel trotted to the edge of the territory, coming to a small stream, he laid down and sighed, truth of it was he hadn't thought about Sahra that much since he had gone home and found his Alpha dead. He watched the fish swim in little circles and envyed their simple life.

Quote: Sahara's dull, but sharp eyes locked on a faintly moving animal down below. She stretched her head forward, and with a burst of joy caught the faint, familiar scent of Rebel. Leaping down from the rock, she hurried as fast as her body would go and finally she was at the border. She paced it, then her eagerness took over and she crossed it. She headed toward him, but hadn't taken her condition to thought. She didn't look like the spry, healthy Sahara she had once been. Instead she looked like a desperate, hungry old wolf who had just crossed the pack's border.

Rebel looked up and saw a mangy wolf running at him, he leapt to his feet, snarling, his fur bristled, his eyes flared with anger. His lips curled back to reveal a row of strong dripping fangs. He scented the air, but only smelled the dull, musky odor of a starved wolf. He crouched, his muscles twitched, and like a flash of lightning he launched over the stream, and at the wolf, snapping his fangs.
