Some time in the middle of the night, an eerie call was echoed across Stormpack's territory. "Fwiiiiiiint! Faaaaedon!"
May awoke. Her voice could be heard across the camp since it was so silent. "Huh, what? Rocket, it's time to sleep..."
Rocket did this face,"bwut why?"![]()
Jay, who had been awakened, muttered sarcastically under his breath inside the den, "because Flint and Faedon have to do whatever their mommy says."
"It's nighttime..."
Rocket growled huffily, "Fwine, mweanie. I'll go to bed wight hewe."
Dawn picked up her head, "that's not nice, Rocket..."
The air was silent again for a short while, before Jay smirked, leaving his den. "Hey," he nudged Rocket, "wanna have some fun?"
"Jay, leave her alone," Dawn growled, still half-asleep.
"Oh come on, you're so uptight!" Jay grumbled. Dawn had already drifted off, and barely heard him.
"Wes!" Rocket replied quickly, picking herself up on her little red legs.
"C'mon then!" He called over his shoulder, pelting into the forest. She bounded after him, barely making a sound in the night. Unbeknownst to them, May had gotten up and followed them quietly. "So, what games do you like to play?" Jay asked, still bounding.
"All kinds of gwames! Hide and gwo seek, tag, jwumper... yots of stuffs!" Rocket replied excitedly, her tail wagging extremely fast.
"What do you want to play?" Jay slowed to a stop, turning to look at her. "You pick."
"Jwumper!" Rocket yipped.
"How do you play that?"
"Woo jump over wogs and stuffs, and den whoever doesn't fall on der face wins."
"Alright then, let's start!"
"Woo first!"
Jay turned and leaped over a fallen tree. As he did so, Rocket scanned the area surrounding them. Upon spotting a smaller, feasible log, she bounded toward it, executing a sloppy jump. The pup landed, sliding on the mud left from all of the recent storms. Catching her balance, she looked to Jay, who lead on at a slowed pace so she could keep up. Log after log, bush after bush, Jay leapt over with Rocket close behind. Soon they were deep in the forest, far away from the rest of the pack. Finally, Rocket stopped, laying down. "I twired."
Jay nodded, and laid down as well, "let's rest."
