"Grr... stupid wild cats..." May growled, snorting at the dead body of the cougar below her paws. "One less piece of garbage wandering around..." She winced at the pain in her side from the cat's claws. She started heading back to the densite; she needed to get this young pup back to safety.

"Dad, where we gowin?" Arrow asked May, "Awe you gonna take me to home?"

May sighed. "Yes, 'son'. We're going 'home'." May staggered into the clearing, with Arrow following closely. "Dawn? Dawn, where are you?"

Dawn raced to May. "May, you're back!"

"Hey Dawn, this is Arrow. He's an orphan....and he thinks I'm his mother..." May said after touching noses with her sister in greeting.

"Hiya!" Arrow smiled, his blue eyes shining with curiosity.

"Well, I did miss having a little one around." May said calmly, "We'll raise him as our own son. He should never know that his parents were killed by the wild cats..."

Dawn nodded. "I understand."

Beau stood his ground and lowered his head. "I'm not looking for a fight." He said "we just need a place to stay" he stepped aside revealing the pups. Beau could tell this wolf was in a pack "I'm Beau and this is Akaree and Finor."

"This is Emerald pack land, but if you would like, you can join us." He said moving towards the kill. He ripped of two pieces of meat and placed them before Akaree and Finor. West backed away and watched Beau.
