Wildfire curled around her lovingly.

In early morning, the usual smoky scent hung over the densite as Wildfire slunk out of the den. He had smelled a menagerie of deer close by, and he planned on getting a pelt for the den.

Meanwhile, in Stonepack's densite, Willowsong was awakening. She let her paws roll over the soft dirt of her den as she stretched, and looked around for Cody.
 
( There were no spoons left
So we had to use a fork
From last night's pork
So pork-flavored ice cream it was
Last night
Last night we stayed up 'til dawn
Eating our pork-flavored ice cream in front of a fawn )

Zero got up shortly after Wildfire and stretched. She parted her jaws in a massive yawn, and blinked as she glanced around at the clearing. Then she remembered, We're the alphas of Pinepack! It would certainly take some time for her to get used to the prospect.

Cody's howl came off in the distance. A caribou had been killed, and it was ready for the pack to eat.

Phoenix glanced around at the densite. Ash walked up to them, his gait stiff from the last battle. "Afternoon." he greeted the two wolves.
