Faedon stood tall, holding her own against the two Darkpack wolves. She felt ribbons of blood trickle down from her wounds, and her energy was draining quickly. But she was doing fine, considering that she was going up against two wolves at once. It finally looked like her fight with them was starting to take their toll on them; deep down, she knew it was on her, too. But I can do this.

Ebony saw Ash's eyes look over his shoulder. He guessed a wolf was right behind him. Right before Zero jumped, Ebony grabbed his father's scruff and whipped him around so that he took Zero's attack.

(Yes please! :D)

Quote: "Thanks cool." Phoenix nodded. "Hey, there's a small group of deer in the part of the territory.. I was looking for a wolf to hunt with... and I'll only need a piece. You could have the rest of it..." he offered.

Faedon's eyes lit up like the lights on a Christmas tree. That's the first time anyone's offered to hunt with me in... I don't know how long! "I'd be glad to." Ever so slightly, her tail began to wag. Phoenix yipped excitedly. "C'mon!" he barked, and bounded away. His long, powerful strides sent him flying across the field.

Faedon blinked again. She felt her guard slipping away... For the first time that day, Faedon grinned, and ran after him. Her lithe muscles moved smoothly under her pelt as her legs took long, swift strides that tore up ground beneath her. Phoenix sprinted through the undergrowth, and then stopped. Before them was a group of young bucks.

Faedon almost crashed into Phoenix's side as she slid to a stop. She peered through the undergrowth, gazing at the bucks. There were two bucks fighting, and one injured. "We could take down two.." Phoenix murmured softly.

Faedon nodded. "You wanna go in first?" Phoenix rushed in, leaping, and taking one of the fighting bucks by the neck.

Faedon sprang forwards after him. She threw herself onto the other buck, sinking her jaws into its throat. It stumbled backwards, keeling over onto its knees as Faedon tore its windpipe. Phoenix killed his buck, andd jumped off befor it crushed him.

Faedon jumped down a few seconds later. She grinned, "There we go." She tilted her head back to howl for her pack out of habit, but then remembered that she was hunting with a loner. She was surprised at how quickly she'd accepted this stranger. Drooling, she leaned down and took a bite out of the buck's neck. Phoenix tore a chunk of meat from his buck's leg. "Well, this is all I need. I'll go now so you can call your pack."
(Okay guys, I gtg. I'll either be on late tonight when everyone will be gone, or tomorrow morning. Don't do any major plot twists [attacks, loners joining packs, pups, etc] without me, please! Silkies and wildriverswolf can accept charries. Cya!

"N-no." Faedon said that before she could stop herself. "I don't want them to come."

You gonna reply to this, Silkies? "Oh?......... Why?" Phoenix asked, setting his chunk of meat down.
"Because..." Faedon found herself almost unable to stop her words. This wolf was a complete stranger... but strangely enough, she felt safe around him. "Where do I begin? Quite frankly, they don't even care about me. When I talk to them, they're almost always so exasperated, like I'm such a problem in their life. They ignore me when I try to make friends with them. And before you say I'm blowing things out of proportion, no, I'm not. This has been going on ever since I was a pup. And don't even get me started on the wolves who are mated... For goodness sakes, all they ever do is give each other moon eyes!" It was obvious that Faedon had been bottling up her emotions for a long, long time. She was so frustrated by it, she wasn't even able to stay on one subject at a time. Her voice, which was initally calm, had now risen in her anger... and deep hurt. "I hate, hate, HATE it! The only reason I haven't left yet is because my parents are the alphas, and even then I'm still considering it! Heck, if I left, I bet they wouldn't even notice!" By this time, Faedon had turned away, so that Phoenix couldn't see the tears in her eyes. She hadn't cried in... she couldn't remember the last time she'd cried. Her voice was now quieted. "The wolves in that pack only want to be with "cool" wolves I guess..."
Phoenix looked at her in silence for a while. "....... Oh, Faedon... I'm sorry..." was all he said. He couldn't think of anything else.

Faedon blinked back her tears. Quit it. Crying shows weakness, and others like preying upon that weakness. "Sorry. I'm... rambling." He's a stranger. Why would he care? For some reason, Faedon hoped that this wolf would grow to be a good friend of hers. But, by ranting away like that, she'd probably blown any chance of that. "I don't mean to..." Her voice trailed away, and she looked down. "Sorry. I'll... go." She rose to her paws, and began heading back to Stonepack. She started at a brisk trot, but it soon grew to a full sprint. Her loneliness had messed her up.

Moss snarled, but inside she wavered. While Amber and her were doing okay at defending themselves, she could see that Faedon was still going strong. I have a packmate here. We have to win this.
With another growl of pure hatred, she darted in low at Faedon, trying to take the other wolf off her feet with a wound to the forelegs.

Zero yelped in surprise just as Ebony did that. She hurriedly shifted her weight so that Ebony would take the brunt of it, but Ash still got hit. "Worthless scum!" Zero spat at Ebony. She looked over at Ash; she was concerned, but she knew very well that even though he was old, he could kick butt. "Ash, you okay?"

(Yay!)

Ash grunted when she hit, and fell when Ebony dropped his scruff. "Don't talk, Zero!" he snapped, and slammed into his son. Ebony snarled, snapping at Ash's face. Ash's muzzle had a long gash running down it when the two wolves sprang to their paws.

Faedon flattened her ears against his words, and tried to block him out. What was he going to say to her? And why did he not want her to leave? Faedon didn't want to stop running... but her desire for companionship stopped her. I'm gonna regret this... She skidded to a stop, and turned around to face him. "Yeah?"
