Thresh took one last look over the landscape, then howled to signal to the small pack that break time was over and it was time to be on their way again.

Aki lay in the floor of his den, the blood matted his coat, his face swollen and he couldn't see from his left eye. His paw twisted in a strange way and throbbed with pain.

Juniper laid beside him. She hoped he wouldn't be angry that she was in his den, but her concern for him was greater than her fear of his anger.

Juniper laid beside him. She hoped he wouldn't be angry that she was in his den, but her concern for him was greater than her fear of his anger.

Aki was barely conscience but he could feel Juniper beside him, he slowly moved his achey body closer to hers, trying to lift his nose to nuzzle her. his heart was filled with a strange warmth knowing she cared enough to stay with him.

Chase pelted between trees in the loner land, his fur bristling, his eyes flashing with anger, he had just lost a fight with Twister at the border of Dawn pack and was beyond angry, as he twisted deeper into the loner land, he caught the scent of a she-wolf, but her scent was faintly mixed with the scent of Twister and Dawn pack. He smirked and charged ahead, closing the gap.
