Zero heard the howl, perking her ears. She raced towards where she heard Lacy's howl, in case she needed help.

Thunder's strong legs propelled himself past Zero to his mate. He had a dark look in his gray eyes. "Lacy?"

Lacy turned to Thunder after noddind at Zero, her eyes told Zero she was thankful that she came. "Thunder," she started quietly. "Down there, is an abandoned den, a lone male has taken up shelter there." She said her eyes down cast, angry that she was smallish and couldn't have handled the situation on her own

Sierra took West around, showing him the den site. "There's a spare den over on that side." she told him, and smiled.

Zero stood by. In her mind, she wondered one day if she would have a mate.

"Did you speak to him?" Thunder swung his large head to scent the air in that direction. Then he gazed down on his mate with kind loving eyes. 

Lacy shook her head. "Know I didn't." She said, then turned and trotted down the hill towards the den. "LONER!!!" She barked loudly. "Come out!"

Thorn pulled himself from the small opening, he turned, his fur bristling, his wounds still smelled of Dark pack, but he otherwise smelled like a loner. He snarled, eyeing Lacy. He was easily twice her size, and thought about fighting, then his eyes fell upon the form of Thunder behind her.

"You think its okay with Lacy?" He asked timidly, "She seemed fairly upset when she walked away." He looked around quickly. "And what about this Thunder, she said she would have to talk to him?" He was clearly nervous.
