Zero stopped padding after the shrew; she just didn't have the will to. She let out a lonely howl. Will I ever have a mate? she thought.

Timber's body ran swiftly through the undergrowth, and as he sped up, he saw Zero's figure whiz by. I'll get this rabbit, and bring it to her. He smiled as he dove out for the furry animal. No one knew, but he had a deep affection for Zero, but didn't exactly know if she wanted a mate; so, instead of being friendly, and showing his affection, he stayed quiet. "Zero?" he said, stepped through the leaves carefully.
