Howdy everyone. I have a year and a half old Easter egger hen that I rescued alongside 2 other hens from a boarding situation. Her two sisters integrated into the flock perfectly. They sleep in the coop, hang out with the other hens all day, submit to my rooster, etc.

Miss Fancy Pants on the other hand is the complete opposite. She is a bit of a loner, and prefers to hang out with my Turkey during the day. She will miss gle with the flock no problem but I've never seen her submit to my roo. At night she occasionally sleeps with the Turkey but usually just disappears for the night only to be out clucking around every morning.

Ive walked the yard, searched the trees, looked for eggs, all to no avail. I'm wondering how high up chickens typically roost when they go into trees. My neighbors both have some large trees but I dont see her in the lower branches.

I actually had the same problem when I rescued an EE, she literally vanished. I searched every barn, hole, tree, roof, etc. She showed up 4 days later. So I've wondered this same thing, the highest I've seen was about 10ft off the ground, but I'm sure they can go higher if they wanted.
