I just got a new rooster 2 days ago along with some pullets. I had all the new chickens in a pen seperate from my other chickens. My dog walked up to the pen and the rooster flew out. Then the rooster started running and my dog chased him. The rooster ended up in some very thick brush and briars.
I chased the rooster for about 30min until I lost him. I stopped looking for about an hour. I went back and he was sitting in a small opening. When I approached him, he took of through one of my neighbors field and went into a big pine tree. I tried to climb the tree and get him down but he just went higher until he was about 20ft up. After that It was getting dark. So I left him in the tree until morning. Now, any ideas on how to get him once he comes down in the morning?
