@AAcres how's your incubation going so far?
good i think!
it’s day 15. I checked everyone last night and everyone is good.
I misted and cooled on day 11 but honestly haven’t done it since.
My temp has been staying around 99.3-99.7 for the most part. I don’t know why it jumps around but i’m trying not to worry.
I’m keeping the humidity at 50%

Got another 2 weeks to go!

oooo I have a cheap amazon one too looks like this
This is mine. I can’t really complain for $80cdn. 1AC7FE06-77B0-4482-BC3C-CDD0562A1C7D.jpeg

Nice! My duck eggs are on day 19.

The veining had all receded and the dark mass floated around like a blob. Does that make sense? They are very different looking than the good ones when candled. I still hate doing it and constantly second guess myself when I pull them. I have never been able to open a pulled egg either. Day 14 today.

I wish I could offer more advice, but I've only incubated two rounds of chicks and these are my first ducklings. Humidity is the hardest to control, I misted mine today for the first time. I figured I'd give it a try.
Oh no. I missed this post. So sorry @JoJoM I hope some of them pull through.

The extra week of incubation is going to feel like forever! It’s amazing how quickly they do grow though. I misted today - the temp went out of whack for a bit, think I got it stablized. I think I’ll upgrade my incubator next year.

I posted my 6 week chicks today thinking I had 3 Roos and the experts think there is only one! Hopefully my 8 x 2 week olds have the same ratio!

I've got more eggs "shadowing" today! They haven't pipped internally but are pushing against the membrane it seems!

What do we think: should I raise humidity? I've already stopped turning those eggs and have them at 50% right now
