Just took on 3 runner ducklings, 2 are 3 weeks old the other hatched 3/4 days after and came out double rhe size! Ive been watching and noticed he/she gets tired very quickly and so lays down or rest on legs rather than standing on feet.. just wordered if anyone knew why and if its okay??View attachment 1420488

they are growing like crazy, probably uses tons of energy

I imagine your using good feeds and B complex suplements?
Beautifull ducks btw!

Ducklings can get a niacin deficiency pretty easily since they grow so fast and if using chick starter they are not getting proper amount to begin with so we supplement by giving Niacin but have found out that the B Complex liquid like the one in Jpats avatar really works fast for ducklings that are already showing weakness in their legs. So I'd start your ducklings on some now. You can get human B Complex liquid at Walmart 1 teaspoon per day per duckling or TSC carries a larger bottle in the cattle section it will say injectable but is given orally to our birds. 1 Ml daily.

Ive just taken them on from the nursery i work at and they had been feeding them chick crums..:/ but i think it should be the type they can have- well i hope! I didnt have this before with my other 2 and these other 2 are fine too, but they are growing really quick!!!

chick crums is fine just some ducklings need the extra niacin and some don't but chick crums most likely doesn't have enough in it for even healthy ducklings so it would be best to supplement maybe a pharmacy close by would have the liquid B Complex?

So does duck/goose starter crums and pellets have the stuff they need??? Ive only ever used actual duck food as i thought they couldnt have chick crumbs because of what was in there.

I will see what i can get tho to try and help 'bruce' haha (the kids named 'him') and i will keep you updated
