Well, my first attempt at raising runner ducklings seems to be going well. The "Lings" are growing like wild weeds, and are still getting along okay with their Packing Peanuts which turned out to be red broilers. I guess I lucked into that one. I have a 3 gallon water fount for them, and it is doing a fantastic job of keeping up with all their drinking and playing. I am going to have to figure something out for food though because the 14" or so feeder I have is emptying a few times a day. Little duck tummies and little broiler tummies are insatiable.
I also have one pheasant in there. I bought three, but two found their way under the stall door before I could get some wood under it as a road block. Now, I can't really separate that pheasant or he'll be lonely. He is getting along fine with the other birds for now, but I watch him closely. I'd hate for something to happen to my little survivor.
Cheers!
