My sweet runner has built a nest and collected eggs. While she spends her "free time" sitting on the nest, she still gets off the nest to run and greet people, to get snacks and drinks, etc. Should I remove her nest, or should I allow her to keep sitting on it? The eggs are not fertile, we have no drakes.

I have a Indian runner that just started laying on her eggs, they are fertile and I am excited to see if she stays on them. Buy some fertile eggs for her to lay on and have her hatch them? If not, collect the eggs so she doesn't spend all her time putting so much effort into the eggs only not to have them hatch. My Silkie just kept getting broody week after week and finally I caved in and had her hatch some duck eggs for me, gave her a chance at motherhood and she did really well and it was fun to watch them grow up with her.
