Thanks for the response and good to know. I was beginning to think I had defective ducks!
I got a chance to look my runners over real well and I checked the legs out better. The ducks in the pictures have black legs and my runners have dark brown legs. Someone said that runners will have black legs but I must disagree....mine are definitely runners and their legs are definitely not black. It was kind of funny, yesterday something caught my pekins and my runners attention and they all stood up to check it out and the runners looked exactly like the pictures you see of adult runners, stiff as a board! There is no doubt in my mind mine are runners!
