runner or cayuga?

i cant choose between a runner or a cayuga duck. which would be better with people and better around chickens? what color are runner eggs

Cayuga all the way!

Mine are just over 4 weeks old now and they are such mamma's girls. I did a lot of research and homework to see which breed I wanted to have and Cayuga was it. Quiet, friendly, beautiful. Besides, Cayugas are on the ALBC list.

I have two, Kiera and Gabrielle, because it's just my husband and I so I didn't need alot of eggs but you just can't get one duck.

I chose Cayuga as they are supposed to be calm and quiet, and have been so sweet so far in my experience... My daughter fell in love with Runners but we heard they were nervous and exciteable, plus can't wait to see the "beetle sheen" on my girls.

I have a Cayuga and LOVE her!!!! My girl is very talkative (quacky) and is always into everything but she is delightful!!! I've had people tell me they are very clean ducks, but my little girl always has dirt clumps on her face and head because she roots around in mud.
