Sunstrike kept her eyes locked in the clouds, hoping he would appear.

Bluetail shrank into the shadow of cloud, suppressing a purr of amusement.

Spottedleaf called out to her. "Floodpaw! Over here!"

Owlherb followed her soon after as well as the other medicine cats

From somewhere in the distance, Snowpaw thought she could hear a purr, but she couldn’t be sure.

“I’m Floodlight now,” she corrected gently, her eyes shining. “It’s so good to see you again!”

Sunstrikes ears pricked, and hope flashed through her eyes.

"Congrats!" She purred warmly. "It's good to see you too. Anyway, I have to tell you something that will help."

“What does that mean?” she asked, exasperated. She barely bit back a yowl, If you want to help, how about giving me a straight answer?

"You of all cats should know I can't say." She laughed. "I'll still be in camp to help guide you, as Hazelkit, so don't fret." She purred
