They reached the Sky Oak, and he stopped at the base of the tree. "First, we're going to test your climbing skills. See how high you can climb." Bramblestar was crouched in the lowest branch of the tree, which was still pretty high up, waving his tail enticingly to encourage her to get as far up as him.

Snowpaw nodded and took a deep breath to gather herself. Then she padded up to the foot of the tree and unsheathed her claws. Snowpaw crouched down and launched herself up several tail-lengths and began scaling the Oak.

“Okay,” she panted. Her claws burned from holding her weight for so long, but she managed to haul herself onto the branch where, indeed, Bramblestar was waiting for her.
