Beetlepaw bounded up to her. "Can I join?" He asked eagerly.

Redfrond looked fondly down at the young apprentice, remembering when Snowfrost had first started training. He looked at Snowfrost. "I can help you with his first battle training if you want."

"Yes!" Beetlepaw shouted gleefully. Time to show off my skills!

Redfrond laughed. "Alright, you lead the way. He's your apprentice." He was happy to step back and let her take the lead for once

She smiled and led Beetlepaw to the training hollow. “I think we should start with a defensive crouch.” She glanced at Redfrond as if asking for assurance she was doing the right thing.

He nodded reassuringly.

Beetlepaw instantly went into the crouch. He did it with ease and experience.

Redfrond glanced him over, surprised at how well he did it for his first time

Snowfrost pricked her ears in surprise. “Very good. Now I want to see how you fend off my attack.” Without another warning, she lashed a sheathed front paw out and gently swiped his paws out from underneath him.

He instantly got back to his paws and lunged at her, paws sheathed, and raked them across her chest which she left exposed when she lashed out. He smirked. Too easy!

Redfrond was impressed how quickly he was able to recover
