“Would you like to take a patrol out to look for her? The scene will be stale, but you might find something....” She also knew that Whiteshine would go to the ends of Highstones a million times over to find her daughter.

(I think I’ll just take Lilyflight since she’s my main one other than Snowfrost. You can have Whiteshine and maybe Rosethorn?)
Lilyflight lifted her head to hopefully catch a trace of Snowfrost’s scent, worry pricking at her.

(Sounds good)

Whiteshine took Lilyflight one way and sent Rosethorn and Rainbird another, figuring if they split up it would take less time

“Where could she have gone?” Lilyflight murmured, sighing. “She isn’t the type to run off. Something’s happened to her. We have to find her before it’s too late!” She quickened her pace, ignoring the light rain that began to fall even though she silently cursed it. Leaf-fall was here. She knew it in the dead leaves that crunched beneath her paws and the icy wind that ruffled her fur.

Whiteshine caught a whiff of blood and almost collapsed out of fear.

Lilyflight braced Whiteshine with her shoulder. “Come on, the only way we’ll know if she’s alright is to look.” Helping Whiteshine move, the followed the trail until they came across a noticeable amount of blood spattering the ground, but not enough to suggest a death. There was also no other signs of Snowfrost.
