Blackblood felt his stomach drop. What did she have in mind? "I'm not gonna let you kill her." He snarled. "That's one thing I have zero tolerance for."
“Of course I’m not going to kill her.” Darksky rolled her eyes. “If they heal her wounds, that means we don’t have to worry about her losing too much blood. Their precious medicine cat will take care of that. So that means I’ll be able to give Snowfrost a bit more... motivation if she doesn’t plan on cooperating.”

Snowfrost felt as if she had swallowed a mouthful of freshly fallen snow.

His ear twitched. "Here's the rules for that." He snarled, making sure she knew he was serious. "Not a single scratch is permitted around or on the throat. No messing with the belly. At all. Period." He shot her a glance, his suspicions about her being pregnant had grown over the last few days. "No forking her ears and no harm to the eyes."

Snowfrost tried to show her gratitude with her eyes.

"Good. And if I find that you violated the rules, you will be punished severely." He snarled back. He wasn't a cruel cat, it's just that sometimes his judgement on what was right and wrong were clouded

Darksky hissed but did not argue. She instead stalked away.

Snowfrost lifted her head to lap a few drops of water and lay it back down again, blinking her gratitude at Blackblood.

He watched he with a glare until she was gone, then faced her. "I don't want what happened to me happen to you." He mewed, glancing at her stomach

She felt her heart twist in pity for him, but she knew what he meant and understood what was happening to her now. “Thank you,” she whispered. “And... I’m so sorry.”
 
She closed her eyes and managed to fall into an easy sleep, kept warm by the new knowledge she had of what she carried inside her.
*Morning*
When dawn hit, the first thing Blackblood did was check on Snowfrosts body, thoroughly making sure there weren't any marks where there shouldn't be
