"Thanks." He followed her into the nursery“I’ll take a look at her.” She stride across the camp into the nursery, calling a soft greeting.
Snowfrost looked up.
“What’s going on?” Snowfrost asked, instinctively drawing her kits closer."Thanks." He followed her into the nursery
“Do you know who I am?” Floodlight asked conversationally as she changed the dressings.“What’s going on?” Snowfrost asked, instinctively drawing her kits closer.
“I’m not here to hurt you,” Floodlight promised. “I just want to check on your wounds.” She padded over and gently pressed a paw onto Snowfrost’s head, laying her down. Snowfrost tended but stayed still as Floodlight checked her injuries.
Rosethorn watched worriedly. "Do you know who I am?" He asked timidly“Do you know who I am?” Floodlight asked conversationally as she changed the dressings.
“I- I do, I think. Floodpaw?”
Floodlight smiled and corrected her gently.
“Why can’t I remember anything?” Snowfrost was getting scared now.
“You definitely hit your head.” Floodlight rested her tail on the swollen bit on Snowfrost’s head, by her ear. “You lost a lot of blood, too. You’ll be okay. You’re just going to be a bit confused for a while.”
“Yes. You’re my mate, Rosethorn.” It was one of the few things that felt clear in her head.Rosethorn watched worriedly. "Do you know who I am?" He asked timidly
"Ok." He nuzzled her. "And you know our kits, right?" Turning to Floodlight, he agreed. "What do we do with the kits? Bring them with us?"“Yes. You’re my mate, Rosethorn.” It was one of the few things that felt clear in her head.
“That’s good,” Floodlight nodded. “She’ll be fine,” she assured Rosethorn. “Just confused for a little while. We should move her to my den so I can keep an eye on her wounds.”
“I know them.” She touched her nose to each of the kits curled by her."Ok." He nuzzled her. "And you know our kits, right?" Turning to Floodlight, he agreed. "What do we do with the kits? Bring them with us?"
"Good." He sighed in relief. "Alright. Hey, Snowfrost, can you carry Featherkit to the medicine den? I'll carry Flykit." Flykit gave a mewl of protest when her father picked her up“I know them.” She touched her nose to each of the kits curled by her.
“I think you’d have to. She’s the only one that can feed them.”
“I can take her. I think Snowfrost needs help walking,” Floodlight offered. She took Snowfrost by the scruff and very gently hauled her to her paws. She didn’t want to risk reopening any of the wounds in case she bled out. Still supporting Snowfrost, Floodlight picked up Featherkit by his scruff, ignoring his squeak of protest."Good." He sighed in relief. "Alright. Hey, Snowfrost, can you carry Featherkit to the medicine den? I'll carry Flykit." Flykit gave a mewl of protest when her father picked her up
"Alright." He mewed around the scrap of fur that was dangling from his jaws. He went to the medicine den and chose a nest that looked the most comfortable and laid Flykit gently in it“I can take her.
