When Sunpaw finished with the elders ticks, she realized that she hadn't eaten since after her and Whiteshine went to practice battling. She figured since she had already taken care of the elders and there were no kits to be fed yet, that she would be allowed to eat. She went to the fresh-kill pile and pawed through it until she found a nice fat vole and went to a corner of the camp to eat alone.
 
Once Sunpaw had finished eating her vole, she groomed herself and noticed that Lilyflight had that look that meant she was going hunting. Sunpaw did a quick scan throughout the camp and saw that her mentor had still not returned. She padded up to Lilyflight and asked "Since Whiteshine hasn't returned yet, do you want to go hunting? I feel useless since all the elders needs have been taken care of and Whiteshine isn't around to mentor me..." Her voice trailed off and the nagging question in her brain returned, Where was she? She's probably out with Sunshine still She thought, trying to reassure herself

"Sure," Lilyflight replied. "I was about to go out anyway."
