“We’ll never forget Starkit, but we also have our lives now,” Lilyflight murmured at the sight of Skykit. As her son came running toward her, she purred in greeting and nuzzled him gently, pulling him close to her and Bramblestar.

He shook his head. "Mom, I'm almost an apprentice! I shouldn't be acting like a kit anymore." He mewed, trying to sound grown-up, though he didn't succeed very well

He glanced in the direction where Flykit was emerging from the nursery. "Alright, fine. But I wanna invite Flykit and Featherkit!"

“Already on it!” Snowfrost called, exiting the nursery and nudging Featherkit along as he ran after his sister.

He bounced to his paws in excitement and quickly gathered a suitable moss ball. He ran over to the other kits. "Hi Flykit, hi Featherkit! Wanna play moss-ball?"
