Sunshine coughed again before collapsing and her mouth started to foam from the sheer heat in her body. She needed water.

Feathersky quickly grabbed a bunch of moss and dunked it into the little pool of water in her den. She ran back over and poured it in her mouth and on her head, trying to cool her fever down. She grabbed a few more feverfew leaves and chewed them for her. She put it her mouth, then massaged her throat to help her swallow them.

Sunshine heaved a breath and her body shook from heat. She stood up and stumbled into the snow and collasped. Flurries of white soaked into her golden pelt as her sick body continued to shake. She licked some snow and her body started to cool off, just slightly.

Feathersky allowed her to stay outside, and every once and awhile she would dunp some more water onto her fur or into her mouth.

Sunshine shook her pelt and licked some more snow. Her body temperature rapidly dropped until she was to cold. She shivered, but was unable to move.

Feathersky had been waiting for this moment when her temperature would suddenly drop, because she knew it was going to happen. She called Bluetail over to her and together they got Sunshine back into the den. They started grooming her fur the wrong way to help her dry off and Bluetail pressed his pelt to hers to help her warm up.

Sunshine took a shaky breath and started to shake again. Her body was aching everywhere and her voice was barely audible, "What.... happening?"

"I'm not sure." Feathersky admitted. "I just know that we were able to get your fever down and now we need to warm you back up." She mewed in between licks.

Sunshine nodded and put her head back on her paws. Emberfeather padded in and licked her pelt. "You'll be fine." Emberfeather flicked her tail to Feathersky and signaled she needed her, away from other cats.

Feathersky nodded and started sorting through the herb store.
