"To cause trouble, obviously. Sunshine died and I could break that ginger cat if I did that." He snarled and kicked his hind leg into Batkit, who went tumbling. He rolled around took Rainkit with him. With a hiss, he pinned her but Batkit was on top of him.

She looked at Thistlekit with fear in her eyes. "Okay, but I'm not leaving her side." She settled herself next to Rainkit anxiously.

Rainkit struggled out of his paws and hissed. "That ginger cat is stronger than you think!" She dived back onto his throat, this time sinking her teeth in and tasting blood

Fangheart spat and threw her down with an unsheathed paw. Batkit jumped off his back and red with rage pounced on his tail and he dug in, with the cat shaking violently to get him off.

Rainkit shook her head to clear it, then jumped back on him, not giving up. She leapt onto his back and hung on with her claws while he was shaking. She remembered the story of how Sunstrike killed two foxes, and knew she could end him right now, but it wasn't destined. So instead she clamped her jaws onto his ear and didn't let go.

Fangheart pushed down and leapt into the air. He rolled the cats off and pinned them down. He stood up and mewed, "You don't seem afraid. You should be!" He pounced and threw against a tree.

Batkit flared up instantly and grabbed his shoulders and bit his throat. "Rainkit! Go!" He yowled as rain started to pour from the sky, black rain. It soaked his pelt.
