Twitchwhisker nodded and understood she and her kit would soon die out here. She was silent as they padded to the camp. She was terrified, of rejection.

"Don't worry, Bramblestar is kind and a very fair leader. He would never reject a kit or a queen in need." She soothed as she went into the nursery with Snowkit at her paws.

Bramblestar was in his den, wondering what that strange she-cat needed to do.

The she cat nodded, grateful of the kind words. She turned to face Bramblestar’s den. “Bramblestar?”

Bramblestar swiveled his ears toward her voice, surprised. "Come in!" He called back out, confused why he recognized this voice but couldn't recognize the scent...

Lilyflight came to the entrance and dipped her head before entering. "Yes?"

Snowkit scuttled after Whiteshine until they made it to camp. She flopped down on her side, exhausted.
