Once the kit was safe, she leapt back into battle and flung herself on the nearest RiverClan cat.

Rainpaw lunged herself into battle, her eyes turning red from anger and her power protecting her. She raked her claws all over a RiverClan cat who had a kit, and eventually hit the cat's eye. The cat dropped the kit and she grabbed it and brought it back to the nursery.

Copperkit took his chance and lunged back into the nursery.

Flamefrost ignored her and carefully sniffed him again. “You’re a kittypet?”

Usually she would have stuck around, but she felt fiercely protective of every kit in the nursery, so she ran back to where everyone was fighting.
