Snowkit recited the same five she had said the last time she had been asked before adding on. "New warriors need to sit vigil. No one can be a deputy without having mentored an apprentice. The deputy always becomes leader when the leader dies, retires, or gets exiled. After a death, retirement, or exile of a deputy, the new deputy gets chosen before moonhigh. The Gathering is held at the full moon, and there's no fighting during it."

Lilyflight turned back to Bramblestar. "They're cute..." she murmured. "Anyway, that's what I've been wondering. How do we help him?"
