Lark nodded, taken aback by his generous offer. She turned her bright green eyes onto a black cat in the corner of camp (Blackpaw). She tilted her head at him, wondering why he was apart from the rest of the clan.

Blackpaw looked back at her, blushing slightly and hoping she would decide to stay.

Bramblestar told Bluetail to let her go, and he obeyed. He led the strange she-cat to his den.
