Lilyflight walked to the fresh-kill pile, feeling cheerful. Maybe Blackpaw had a good side after all.

Sunstrike padded up to her. "You seem oddly cheerful!" She smiled

She felt her pelt go hot and she looked at her paws again. She knew it, but it felt weird talking with her mother about it.

Lilyflight smiled. "Just seen something, that's all. How are you doing?"

Whiteshine flicked her tail across Snowkit's spine. "Don't be embarrassed! Rosekit is a good guy."

"I'm doing good." She chirped "What did you see?"

Whiteshine laughed "Yes, you are." she agreed "But it's always good to have a plan. Look at Rainpaw and Batkit for example."

She cocked her head "Well that's something I never expected to hear." she muttered

Sunstrike was surprised "So it seems this new she-cat has unlocked the secrets to his heart."

Snowkit felt her eyes begin to close, but forced them open as she firmly told herself that she was sitting on a tree branch.

"I guess so," she smiled.
