"Blackpaw! He's apparently called Blackblood now, because he's a 'true' Dark Forest warrior. He has an apprentice, and he's run off into her Clan and hasn't come back. I doubt he will. I failed again."

Bramblestar gave her a comforting lick."You didn't fail, it's Fangheart that's made him this way." He remembered something Rainpaw told him earlier "Kill Fangheart, save Blackpaw."

"Yes, I'm excited to teach you." He purred and headed into the warriors den, feeling important.

Moonpaw awoke in the clearing and headed to the lake to wait for Blackblood. Pride squirmed through her.

"But how can I kill Fangheart? I couldn't even beat Blackpaw in practice. All I got out of it was a headache." She flicked her ears irritably.

Moonpaw awoke in the clearing and headed to the lake to wait for Blackblood. Pride squirmed through her.

Blackblood fell asleep and opened his eyes, he pounded through the Dark Forest, and arrived at the lake.

"I know," she sighed. "I just hope I can do it when the time comes."

Blackblood demonstrated for her. "And don't forget, we keep our claws unsheathed here."
