“I have been too,” Aspenkit admitted. “I don’t want anything to happen to anyone.”

“Hi,” she purred, sitting up. “Is there anything you need to talk about?” She didn’t dare say more in case Rosepaw wasn’t actually asleep.

She licked his head and mewed "You know how I said that I would protect you, Grizzlykit, Hazelkit, and Bluetail?"

She nodded. "Let's go into the clearing. Thistlefern and Rainbird are waiting for us."

“Alright.” She stood up and shook the moss from her pelt before padding outside.

"Hello." They both said. "Let's go." Rainbird led the way into the forest, carrying Hazelkit on her back

Snowpaw followed them. “So umm... you know who Hazelkit is, then?” she asked ice they were out of the camp’s earshot.

"I know, sweetie. But you must try not to think of these things too much. That's for mommies to worry about, not for kits." She soothed.

"Yep." Rainbird nodded. "Spottedleaf." They reached the Sky Oak and Hazelkit hopped down. "So, let's get down to business." Thistlefern mewed. "We need to figure out how to get Floodpaw to become a medicine cat."

“But I still worry,” he protested.

Snowpaw sat down and nodded. “Is it possible to tell her about the prophecy and what needs to happen? I’m sure that’d get her to make a sacrifice, but I don’t know if we’re allowed to do that.”
