She nodded, not able to stop a tear from falling. "I think I am," she said quietly. She gave him a comforting lick, noticing the tears in his own eyes.

She brushed her tail across his pelt and started drowning in her own thoughts. I'm sorry you had to die so soon, she thought. You were too young. Much too young. I'm sorry we couldn't have saved you, I hope your death was quick. I hope you didn't suffer too much. I hope you've found your way to StarClan. "I think I really am ready now," she said quietly. She felt at peace suddenly.

"Okay." He said, looking in her eyes, his filled with sympathy as he helped her back to the den.
 
"If it's not too much trouble," she told him.
He smiled and twitching his whiskers said "Of course it isn't. I will always take care of you!" And with that he got up and chose the fattest mouse he could find for her and a regular sized thrush for himself. He brought it back to her, dropping the mouse at her paws.

"Thank you," she replied gratefully, realizing she was famished. Lilyflight had soon finished it and turned her head to groom as much of herself as she could reach.
